Vic Secret hails from Australia and is one of the country’s best-known hops, second only to the Galaxy hop (don’t miss our Galaxy single-hop hazy IPA, also out now).
“We’ve gotten to know Vic Secret well at the production level, having incorporated it early on into our Luponic Distortion revolving IPA series,” said Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “Now it’s time to showcase it in this West Coast-style IPA.”
Vic Secret is grown in both the Victoria and Tasmania regions of Australia. It is prized by Matt and the brewing team for its balanced character. “It’s less of a tropical fruit bomb compared to a hop like Galaxy,” Matt said. “It has more of a Sauvignon Blanc quality, with flavors of lemon and pineapple, as well as soft stone fruits.”
“Vic Secret doesn’t punch you in the face like some hops, but it’s still full of flavor,” Matt said. “I think the West Coast style is a perfect vehicle for this hop.”
