Beer lovers and critics Alex Kidd, Kate Bernot, and Stan Hieronymus compiled lists of their favorite beers of 2021 for Craft Beer & Brewing, and we’re pleased to share that Firestone Walker beers made it to each of the three “Best in 2021” lists.
Alex Kidd of DontDrinkBeer.com and the Malt Couture podcast named Dreamwood to his top-ten list of beers in 2021. Dreamwood is a twist on our fan-favorite Parabola Imperial Stout, this time aged in rare 15- and 23-year-old Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon Barrels. As an exclusive to our Brewmaster’s Collective beer club, only 150 cases of Dreamwood were produced for its July release. If you missed out on Dreamwood this year, become a member of our beer club for its 2022 season to get access to our rarest and most imaginative releases.

Kate Bernot, contributing editor to Craft Beer & Brewing, called DBA the “beer that deserves more attention than it gets” in her Best of 2021 list. DBA was the beer that started it all for us at Firestone Walker, and this year we celebrated its 25th anniversary. If you haven’t tried our flagship British pale ale yet, it’s not too late. It’s available in mixed 12-packs, 6-pack bottles, and on draft.

Stan Hieronymus, known for his books on all things beer, named our Welcome to LA West Coast Lager to his Best of 2021 list. Straight from or Propagator R&D brewhouse in Venice, CA, Welcome to LA is a “hoppy lager” that pays homage to our neighborhood and the SoCal way of life. It’s available on draft and in 6-pack can format.
