We brewed Short Stay, a modern West Coast IPA, with our friends at MadeWest in Ventura. Built on notes of stone fruit, mango, blueberry, and some sticky dankness, this beer looks clean in glass and tastes as crisp as an early winter morning on the Pacific.

Our brewing friends at MadeWest in Ventura are no strangers to West Coast IPAs. They’ve brewed a number of award-winning Hazy and West Coast IPAs. So, we got together with them at The Propagator to brew this small batch of IPA featuring Mosaic, Krush, and experimental HBC 1019 hops.
A light base of pilsner, 2-row, flaked rice, and Carafoam malts provides a clean canvas to showcase this killer hop blend that expresses aromatics of stone fruit (think peach and apricot), blueberry, mango, and dank sticky green hop cones. A clean fermentation character from our house lager yeast makes for a pure hop and malt expression and exceptional drinkability.
MadeWest also shares a home with us on the Central Coast, so, collaborating on a fantastic beer with them is always a good time. And sharing it with our shared locals, regulars, and beyond? Well, that’s an even better time.
