It’s like the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival never left because, in a way, we really haven’t.
Especially when you consider the fact that we’ll be back again filling up your empty glass in Paso Robles on June 1st, and we never considered anything else otherwise. Actually, we did consider one thing, and it’s that you’re probably wondering what’s happening with our annual Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Festival rite… our staple: the FWIBF collaboration beer.
Well, you can breathe (and sip) easy now, because it’s here, and it’s really, really, really good. Please meet Trailing West.
Brewed alongside our friends at Half Acre Beer Co. out in Chicago, Trailing West is the sort of Pilsner you want to sip again, and again, and again maybe one more time right after sipping it again and maybe just one more time after that. In short, this is one fantastic beer.
The recipe pairs a decoction mash of an Austrian barley variety over 100 years old pair with old-world Hersbrucker and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops. Italian-inspired, but with elements of Czech and German Pilsner, this beer is crisp and complex with a continental hop attitude.
One part an honoring tradition and another part looking to the future, Trailing West is innovation canned. It’s great tasting and crisply refreshing canned beer too, but we’re sure that’s obvious by now. What can we say? Trailing West is just one of those beers that makes you want, “Everyone’s a winner,” after you cracking it open.
“Everyone’s a winner?” You’re probably thinking. “That top of the fermentation tank phrase?” Yes, exactly. That top of the fermentation tank phrase. Wait, really? Yes, really. Yes, even to you. And it’s because even if you can’t make it to the Invitational this year, you can still try Trailing West.
How? It’s available in all our taprooms and breweries in Paso Robles, Buellton, and Venice Beach. It will also be available much sooner rather than later in several select retail locations as well. See if you can enjoy a glass or snag a six-pack near you with our Beer Finder now.
