The beat goes on with “The Bridge,” the third collection from our 2024 Brewmaster’s Collective beer club.
This collection advances the theme of this year’s beer club season that celebrates the transformative power of music—and world-class beer! Just as a song’s bridge introduces new melodies and rhythms, this collection offers a departure from the ordinary with five distinct barrel-aged beers.
In addition to two club exclusives, The Bridge features three selections that are available to all for a limited time in our online beer store. Let’s have a taste…
PaRyebola: Imperial Stout Aged in Straight Rye Barrels
PaRyebola is what happens when you take our iconic Parabola barrel-aged stout and crank up the volume by maturing it in straight rye whiskey barrels and raising the ABV to 15.2%. Straight magic.
The journey of this beer began when we inherited a coveted selection of small 30-gallon Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey barrels from FEW Spirits. In a stroke of good fortune, these barrels landed with more than a few shots of residual spirits still sloshing around inside. We immediately loaded them full of our classic Parabola base beer and let them work their magic for an extended maturation period of 18 months.
Needless to say, the rye whiskey vibes are strong in PaRyebola which combines Parabola’s signature flavors of black cherry, dark chocolate and roast coffee with hints of earthy grains and clove spice. This is a beer made to blow your mind and keep you coming back for more. And the best part? It’s ready to buy and crack into now.
Oakpocalypse Now: Barleywine Ale Aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels & Red Wine Barrels
It may not be the end of the world, but it’s definitely earth-shattering—welcome to the Oakpocalypse.
Conceived in collaboration with the strong ale savants at Revolution Brewing in Chicago, Oakpocalypse Now is a Triple-Oaked Barleywine initially aged for nine months in Estate Oak Rye barrels inherited from WhistlePig Whiskey. We later racked half of the beer to Herman Story red wine barrels while adding new single-forest French oak staves to the remainder of the WhistlePig casks. The beer then spent an additional three months soaking up all of this oaky goodness.
The result is an insanely complex barleywine with shades of rye whiskey and red wine, all interwoven with notes of vanilla, toffee, licorice and dark fruits. Learn how you can get it in your fridge today.
Primal Elements: Sour Ale with Pink Guava & Pineapple
Take a journey for the senses with our latest rendition of Primal Elements. It’s our most vacation-worthy Primal Elements yet, loaded with 5,000 pounds of tropical fruit prior to aging and bottling.
Straight from our Barrelworks wild ale facility, Primal Elements 2024 was infused with 3000 pounds of ripe pineapple from Rio Frio, Sarapiqui, Heredia, Costa Rica, and 2000 pounds of vibrant guava sourced from Colombia.
Aged on French oak, this ale balances the sun-kissed sweetness of pineapple with the exotic tartness of guava. Each sip unfolds with layers of tropical fruitiness, enhanced by subtle oak nuances, culminating in a refreshing and harmonious drinking experience. Primal Elements is a celebration of fruit-forward complexity, inviting you to savor the essence of the tropics in every glass.

Maltose Falcons: Barrel-Aged Brownywine Ale
And now we get into our club exclusives. We know these look amazing, and that’s because they are. But if you’re not a part of the Brewmasters Collective, we’re sorry, you can only look and not sip here.
There is good news, though: you can sign up for our waitlist for the upcoming 2025 season. Then, you’ll never miss another club beers again, and you’ll have tons of great beer to go along these speciality drops as well. It’s certainly a win-win. But now, let’s get into this all-timer beer.
The self-proclaimed “dedicated loony bunch” of beer drinkers and brewers, always on the hunt for the next exceptional brew, certainly have reason to rejoice with this offering. In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of America’s oldest homebrew club, Maltose Falcons makes a triumphant return after a decade-long hiatus, showcasing its bold character in spectacular fashion. This rendition of our Barrel-Aged Brownywine was meticulously crafted with generous amounts of brown sugar, honey, and Simpson’s Chocolate malt, then aged for 12 months in both Rye and Bourbon barrels. The result is an explosion of sumptuously sweet flavors that evoke memories of stroopwafel, cookie dough, and luxurious chocolate ganache. Save room for dessert with this new take on this beloved brew.
Heavy Souls: Imperial Stout With Hazelnuts, Pecans And Vanilla Beach Aged In Bourbon Barrels
Another club exclusive, we teamed up with our friends from Germany at Frau Gruber to create this delicate beast of a pastry stout unlike any other. Brewed with pecans, hazelnuts, and vanilla beans, Heavy Souls takes you on a sensory adventure that defies expectations. With each sip, this beer transports you to a realm of nostalgic delights reminiscent of indulgent praline pie, decadent s’mores, and the luscious sweetness of candied figs.
Heavy Souls sat in 12-year Elijah Craig Bourbon barrels to elevate its complexity even further, maturing gracefully over 12 months. Indulge in Heavy Souls—a stout that embodies the artistry of collaboration and the decadence of barrel-aging, delivering a rich tapestry of flavors that linger long after the final dram.
The good news is that PaRyebola, Oakpocalypse Now and Primal Elements are now available in our beer store now. The better news is that our 2025 Brewmaster’s Collective is opening enrollment if you don’t want to miss out on future club exclusives, which are the rarest of them all.
